CMA CGM Group is to purchase four A350F freighter aircraft.

The firm order brings the shipping and logistics company’s total Airbus fleet to nine aircraft, including four A330-200Fs and one A330-200 to be converted into a freighter.

The A350F features a large main deck cargo door and a fuselage length optimised for cargo operations, Airbus said.

More than 70 per cent of the airframe is made of advanced materials resulting in a 30t lighter take-off weight, the manufacturer added. The aircraft also has a 109t payload capability and the ability to serve all cargo markets.
