Cornwell promoted to head of EMEA sales at American Airlines Cargo

American Airlines Cargo has promoted long-serving cargo leader, Andy Cornwell, to the role of head of cargo sales for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

American Airlines Cargo has promoted long-serving cargo leader, Andy Cornwell, to the role of head of cargo sales for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Recognised throughout the air-cargo industry, Cornwell is widely respected for his passionate advocacy of the merits of freight-side aviation.

Throughout Cornwell’s 35-year career with American Airlines, he has held various positions notably in sales and business development.

Cornwell said: “I am delighted to be taking on this new role which is a natural extension of my previous post covering northern Europe. I believe the cargo products and customer service at this airline are second to none and to be able to drive forward our full range of products to an even wider group of customers is a challenge I am happy take on.”

Cornwell holds an MBA from the University of Buckingham and will continue to be based at London Heathrow (LHR) from where he will report to Indy Bolina, global head of sales.
