Delta Cargo has become the first-ever airline to obtain the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Center of Excellence for Independent Validator (CEIV) Pharma certification for its cargo handling facility and ground handling services at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).
The recognition follows Delta Cargo’s third consecutive CEIV recertification earlier this year, awarded both at a headquarters level and its Atlanta (ATL) hub.
Since becoming the first global passenger carrier in the US to receive CEIV Pharma certification in 2017, Delta Cargo has remained steadfast in its commitment to maintaining the highest standards within the pharmaceutical industry.
In addition to this prestigious certification, Delta Cargo customers with temperature-sensitive goods transiting through JFK also benefit from the airline’s industry-leading facilities including its state-of-the-art cooler – the largest of its kind with a 16,000 sq ft capacity.
Delta Cargo says that it remains committed to delivering cutting-edge solutions with its specialised pharma products and aims to continue to lead the way for safe and timely pharmaceutical transportation.
