French Bee has extended its General Sales & Service Agent (GSSA) agreement with Globe Air Cargo Canada for a further three years, continuing the airlines’ partnership and maintaining the only direct widebody cargo connection between Montreal and Paris-Orly Airport.
The renewed contract covers Canada and builds on the carriers’ existing collaboration across North America, supporting exports to France and wider Europe through French Bee’s Airbus A350-900 and A350-1000 services.
Operating three times a week during the winter and daily in the summer, the Montreal-Trudeau to Paris-Orly route provides up to 15 tonnes of weekly cargo capacity and offers a seven-hour transit time.
Elena Garduño, commercial director of Globe Air Cargo Canada, said: “This renewed agreement gives our customers continued access to a truly differentiated transatlantic solution.
“French Bee’s direct Montreal-Orly service offers a compelling alternative for time and temperature-sensitive cargo, combining modern A350 capacity, reliable operations and fast access to the Paris region and beyond, through a far less congested airport environment.
“This is currently the best transatlantic air cargo connection to Rungis International Market, and there is great potential for an even stronger market share of perishables, healthcare products and general cargo flows between Canada and Europe.
“Globe Air Cargo Canada is here to maximise these businesses for French Bee and its many international customers.”
The service provides direct access to Paris-Orly, located close to the Rungis International Market, creating opportunities for Canadian exporters of perishables including seafood, fresh produce, mushrooms and premium beef.
In addition to perishables, the route supports general cargo, e-commerce, retail freight and temperature-controlled healthcare shipments, with onward road feeder connections to destinations across Europe and French Overseas Territories.
Globe Air Cargo Canada said it will focus on growing perishables traffic, expanding healthcare and high-value shipments, and introducing an e-booking platform with dynamic pricing to provide customers with greater flexibility.
