LATAM Cargo Colombia has launched a scheduled Miami-Caracas-Bogota service, expanding its regional network in response to demand for cargo connectivity between the US and Venezuela.
Operations began on May 3, with two weekly frequencies on Sundays and Thursdays between Miami International Airport (MIA) and Simón Bolívar International Airport (CCS) in Caracas, before continuing to Bogota.
Andrés Varela, North America commercial director at LATAM Cargo Group, said: “The strength of LATAM Cargo’s network enabled the rapid deployment of this service. The opening of this route reflects exactly the type of organisation we strive to be: agile, present, and solution-oriented.”
The service will primarily carry general cargo and courier shipments, while also offering capability for more specialised requirements, including oversize cargo and pharmaceuticals.
LATAM said the addition of Caracas expands its cargo coverage in Latin America and reinforces Miami’s role as a strategic hub within its network. The company added that the new service benefits from a fixed schedule and dedicated commercial team, allowing it to adapt capacity and support to the specific requirements of the market.
