AIA Cargo has announced Colin McInnes as the firm’s new vice president cargo UK.

McInnes joins the company from CHAMP Cargosystems, where he served as head of sales and account management for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

He brings with him 18 years of experience at Swiss WorldCargo, where he held various positions, including a decade as regional manager for the UK, Ireland, and the Nordics.

Additionally, he oversaw global key account management at the airline’s Zurich headquarters.

McInnes said: “I’m looking forward to getting started in the role of vice president cargo UK and using my experience to add great value to the UK team.”

AIA Cargo says that part of McInnes’ role will be establishing and maintaining strong relationships with airlines, freight forwarders, and logistics providers, fostering collaboration and driving mutual growth.

Mark Andrew, chief executive of AIA Cargo, said: “Colin will, as part of our senior management team, be a key asset for not only our UK set-up but also our airline development.

“I am sure Colin will make a valuable contribution, focusing on new airline business for the group whilst within the UK maintaining quality engagement with our existing customers.”
