MSC is using Liege Airport in Belgium as the European hub for its new air cargo airline. The airline – MSC Air Cargo – has started operations there, with a first landing on 3 December.

MSC recently took delivery of the first of four MSC Air Cargo-branded Boeing 777-200F aircraft, to be operated by Atlas Air. This aircraft will start with four rotations per week via Liege Airport, operating regular services connecting both Mexico City and US airport Indianapolis with Liege.

Additionally, round-the-world services will be operated via Liege. These routes will be dedicated to pharmaceutical products, perishable goods and high-value cargo. Handling services at Liege will be provided by Challenge Handling.

The other three MSC 777-200Fs will be delivered during 2023 and a further increase of weekly MSC Air Cargo freighter calls in Liege Airport is expected.
