In a bold move that could reshape regional air cargo, Canadian charter airline Nolinor Aviation has secured production slots for multiple Kona aircraft, a cutting-edge blended-wing-body freighter developed by Natilus, a San Diego-based aerospace innovator.

The Kona, currently in development, is engineered to operate on gravel and unpaved runways, making it a game-changer for cargo transportation to remote and underserved regions.

Compliant with Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) and Canadian Aviation Regulations (CAR), the aircraft is designed to push the boundaries of efficiency, performance, and accessibility in air freight.

Powered by an advanced turboprop configuration, the Kona boasts a 3.8-metric-tonne payload capacity and the ability to take off from runways as short as 800 metres. Its revolutionary design slashes fuel consumption by 30% compared to traditional aircraft, extending its range to 900 nautical miles while significantly cutting operational costs.

With this agreement, Nolinor Aviation positions itself at the forefront of next-generation cargo aviation, supporting innovative solutions that align with the industry’s push for greater efficiency and sustainability.
