Royal Jordanian appoints ECS Group for US cargo sales

Royal Jordanian

General Sales & Service Agent (GSSA), ECS Group, has signed a multiyear GSA agreement with Royal Jordanian, strengthening the airline’s commercial footprint across key US gateways.

Under the agreement, ECS Group’s US subsidiary Globe Air Cargo has assumed cargo sales representation for Chicago O’Hare (ORD) and Detroit (DTW).

The mandate will see GAC market bellyhold capacity on Royal Jordanian’s Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner operations, providing US exporters with fast access to Amman and onward connectivity across the carrier’s widebody and freighter network.

Commercial efforts will focus on supporting growth to a range of priority markets, including Tripoli, Damascus, Jeddah, Beirut, Cairo, Istanbul, Dubai and Bangkok.

The contract also covers full GSA services delivered through ECS Group’s integrated technology ecosystem, offering customers digital booking tools, pricing intelligence and real-time shipment visibility.

Jean Ceccaldi, chief executive of ECS Group, said: “This partnership reflects the scale of trust Royal Jordanian places in our ability to transform their cargo results in one of the world’s most competitive markets.

“With GAC’s strength on the ground and our digital capabilities through CargoAI, ECS Group will generate accelerated growth for Royal Jordanian and deliver US customers a level of reach and performance they have not had before.”

Khaled Alkhawaldeh, director cargo commercial at Royal Jordanian, said: “Partnering with ECS Group and Globe Air Cargo brings strong market expertise, proven commercial capabilities and advanced digital tools that will support our growth objectives, enhance customer reach, and optimise the utilisation of our cargo capacity across key US gateways and beyond.”
