SAS Cargo has successfully transitioned to Accelya’s FLX Cargo Platform, taking a major step toward modern, digitally driven cargo operations.
By moving away from legacy technology, SAS Cargo can now benefit from a cloud-based, end-to-end solution that digitalises the entire cargo value chain from offer-to-settlement to enhanced financial management.
As part of the implementation, SAS Cargo is leveraging key modules of the FLX Cargo Platform, including Revenue Management and Price Influencer, which utilise AI/ML-powered forecasting models to optimise demand predictions and provide real-time influence on offer pricing across channels.
SAS Cargo says the move marks a significant milestone in its digital transformation journey, equipping the carrier with the tools to enable modernisation.
With Accelya’s FLX Cargo Platform, SAS Cargo can seamlessly manage its distribution channels – including its own website, third-party marketplaces, and direct forwarder integrations – allowing it to meet evolving customer expectations with greater speed and flexibility.
Markus Ek, president and chief executive of SAS Cargo Group, said: “At SAS Cargo, innovation, digitalisation and true partnerships are key areas in our ongoing transformation. Moving to Accelya’s FLX Cargo Platform is an important step forward on our journey, enabling us to adapt to changing market and customer needs. It gives us greater control over distribution, and sets us up for success in the digital, retail-driven future of air cargo.”
Andrew Wilcock, chief revenue officer at Accelya, said: “The air cargo industry is undergoing a major shift as leading airlines move from legacy systems to fully digital, customer-centric operations.
“SAS Cargo’s adoption of the FLX Cargo Platform shows real leadership in embracing this future. With our cloud-based, end-to-end solution, they gain the agility, efficiency, and financial control needed to thrive.
“At Accelya, we’re proud to partner with innovative and forward-thinking carriers like SAS Cargo to shape the future of air cargo.”
