The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA) and Airports Council International (ACI) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at improving the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of cargo operations.
The MoU also involves mutual participation in each other’s working groups and committees to provide industry expertise and strategic guidance.
Both organisations state they will work together to create relevant industry guidance and technical recommendations for their members.
They will also cross-promote each other’s activities, such as events and publications, and exchange relevant documents, data, and information as needed.
Steven Polmans, chair of TIACA, said: “TIACA aims to unite the air cargo sector, and partnering with key organisations like ACI is a step towards this goal.
“Together, we support the industry’s sustainable growth and development, ensuring efficient and safe operations.”
Luis Felipe de Oliveira, director general and chief executive of ACI World, said: “We are pleased to strengthen our cooperation with TIACA. Our joint efforts will enhance safety, efficiency, and sustainability in cargo operations, benefiting the entire aviation ecosystem.”
Glyn Hughes, director general of TIACA, said: “This partnership allows both bodies to better serve their members and the industry. We are excited to create strong synergies, particularly in sustainability.”
