WestJet Cargo boosts Calgary-Seoul route amid soaring demand

Canadian air cargo carrier, WestJet Cargo, is set to double the flight frequencies of its Calgary to Seoul (Incheon International Airport) service to meet growing demand for air cargo and passenger transportation between Canada and South Korea.

Canadian air cargo carrier, WestJet Cargo, is set to double the flight frequencies of its Calgary to Seoul (Incheon International Airport) service which it says is in response to meet growing demand for air cargo and passenger transportation between Canada and South Korea.

Starting the week of 19 May 2025, the Calgary-Seoul route will increase from three to six flights per week, operating until 13 October 13 2025.

The route will continue to be served by WestJet’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner, offering a weekly cargo capacity of approximately 130 tonnes and 480 cubic metres.

Kirsten de Bruijn, executive vice president of cargo at WestJet, said: “Doubling our frequencies is a testament to our commitment to strengthening connections between Canada and South Korea. We’re proud to enhance flexibility and capacity, supporting businesses in navigating a dynamic global trade environment.”
