The dedicated air cargo provider for Scandinavian Airlines, SAS Cargo, has entered into a new partnership with Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) at Arlanda, Stockholm.
The partnership marks the first time that SAS Cargo is moving to an external partner at one of its Scandinavian hubs.
SAS Cargo announced the partnership on social media platform LinkedIn, and said: “Effective February 24, 2025, WFS will become our handling agent, following a thorough selection process. This strategic move will help ensure the continued success and reliability of our cargo operations at Arlanda. We are excited to begin this collaboration and look forward to a smooth transition.”
SAS Cargo’s chief executive, Markus Ek, and its head of handling, Lone Riise, visited Stockholm to sign the partnership agreement with WFS, where they met with Kim Elfström, managing director, and Marc Claesen, senior vice president of commercial EMEAA.
SAS Cargo manages Scandinavian Airlines’ full cargo capacity across the entire SAS network. As an independent subsidiary of Scandinavian Airlines, with headquarters in Copenhagen, SAS Cargo handles key operations including sales, marketing, customer support, revenue management, and IT solutions.
