WFS wins China Cargo Airlines freighter handling deal at Paris CDG
Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) has secured a new freighter handling contract with China Cargo Airlines as the carrier resumes all-cargo flights to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.
Under the agreement, which launched with the first scheduled flight on November 20, WFS is providing cargo warehouse services to support the airline’s three weekly Boeing 777F operations linking China and the French capital.
The handler will also deliver full ramp services for the 777F fleet and operate road feeder services connecting Paris with regional airports across France and other major gateways in Europe.
The award builds on a relationship between WFS, China Cargo Airlines and parent carrier China Eastern Airlines that has spanned more than 25 years in Paris.
Today, the wider cargo handling partnership also covers Arlanda, Bangkok, Barcelona, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Marseille and Milan.
In addition to the new freighter operations, WFS continues to manage all cargo carried on China Eastern’s passenger services in Paris.
Laurent Bernard, managing director France at WFS, said: “We are extremely proud of our longstanding partnership in France with China Eastern Airlines and China Cargo Airlines. They are both extremely important customers of WFS. We greatly value their confidence in WFS.”
