John Engelaan has been appointed as the new vice president of SkyTeam Cargo, the world’s only global air cargo alliance.

Engelaan brings more than 35 years of international experience to his new role at SkyTeam Cargo, with prior roles including vice president of global fleet at Swissport, plus senior roles at Air France-KLM and Martinair Cargo, including director Spain and Portugal, and director Gulf, Iran, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

Teddy Zebitz, chair of SkyTeam Cargo’s executive board and chief executive of Saudia Cargo, said: “John’s extensive international experience and hands-on approach to everyday cargo operations will be invaluable to our alliance as we continue to focus on delivering the most seamless and responsible service through innovative products and technology.
