Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) has recorded a 10.1 per cent year-on-year increase in cargo throughput during November, according to data released by Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK).
AAHK attributed the cargo growth to a 16.1 per cent increase in transshipments.
In the first 11 months of 2021, HKIA handled 4.6 million tonnes of cargo – an increase of 12.9 per cent compared to the same period last year.
On a 12-month rolling basis, the airport handled 5 million tonnes of cargo – an 11.6 per cent year-on-year increase.
