JALCARGO launches distribution partnership with cargo.one

Japan Airlines Company’s cargo division JALCARGO is to partner with cargo.one to advance its digital business and footprint.

Freight forwarders using cargo.one will soon be able to instantly search, book, amend and track JALCARGO capacities in real time. The airline will also leverage dynamic, unbiased and compliant insights from the data analysis platform cargo.one360 and will also tap cargo.one expertise to raise its digital performance, identify market opportunities and enhance revenue and capacity management.

Hiroo Iwakoshi, who heads cargo at Japan Airlines, said delivering an outstanding customer experience is an important element of the airline’s business strategy. “Cargo.one shares both our high regard for customer focus and service level, but also our ambition and entrepreneurial spirit to satisfy the market. With a presence on cargo.one, JALCARGO is now even more strongly placed to differentiate online and scale new heights of digital success.”

Moritz Claussen, cargo.one founder and co-CEO, added that the partnership will further strengthen its position in the Asia Pacific region and deliver a unique and high quality digital offering to freight forwarders.

Air cargo volumes into Japan are significant, with Tokyo’s airports consistently performing within the world’s top air cargo hubs by freight tonnes. JALCARGO delivered over 740,000 tonnes of air cargo last year.

JALCARGO collaboration with cargo.one will launch in European markets this summer.
