Jettainer wins five-year Norse Atlantic Airways ULD management contract

Jettainer has been providing Norse Atlantic Airways with a customised and dedicated fleet of containers and pallets since the new Norwegian airline began flying in June.

That’s because Jettainer won a five-year contract ULD management contract, which it has announced today (18 August). Jettainer will also take care of the repair and maintenance of all units.

With its fleet of 15 Boeing 787 Dreamliners, Norse Atlantic Airways connects Oslo with several North American destinations, and its network is being ramped up with regular connections from Berlin to New York and Los Angeles.

“As we are committed to a modern and environmentally friendly fleet, we have also chosen the most cost-efficient and sustainable solution for our ULDs,” said Norse Atlantic Airways’ chief executive officer Bjørn Tore Larsen. “As the market leader, Jettainer offers us the highest level of reliability, transparency and flexibility for our operations.”

Jettainer’s managing director Thomas Sonntag commented: “Jettainer operates the world’s most efficient fleet of ULDs. With our expertise, advanced management technology and global network we support established airlines in outsourcing ULD management services and new emerging carriers like Norse Atlantic in ramping up their operations. We are looking forward to long-term success and mutual growth.”
