Polar Air Cargo expands cargo handling at LAX with new Worldwide Flight Services partnership

Polar Air Cargo has agreed a new long-term contract with Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) to expand its cargo handling in North America.

As of December 2021, WFS has been providing full warehouse handling services for the more than five million kilos of cargo carried each month by Polar’s all-Boeing freighter fleet ex-Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

“Our partnership with Polar Air Cargo is strategically important to WFS in North America, and globally,” said WFS’ vice president of sales Guido DiGiandomenico.

“In Los Angeles, thanks to the hard work of our local WFS team, we have earned a solid reputation for providing quality cargo handling services in what is a challenging marketplace.”

WFS’ general cargo handling volumes in Los Angeles now exceeds 22 million kilos per month.

Polar has significantly grown its footprint at LAX through the addition of a second warehouse totaling more than 230,000 sq ft.
