Virgin Atlantic Cargo announces appointment of Mark Faulkner

Virgin Atlantic Cargo has announced the appointment of Mark Faulkner as its new head of cargo commercial.

Faulkner joins the carrier from Etihad Cargo where he was director west, cargo commercial.

He brings 19 years of experience to the new role having worked for the likes of  DHL Aviation, Cargolux, BA, and IAG during his career to date.

Faulkner’s background includes revenue management, network and alliances, spanning across the commercial spectrum.

In his new role Faulkner takes on responsibility for leading the commercial activity of Virgin Atlantic’s cargo division, including revenue management, strategy and planning, business insights, and network and alliances.

He said: ‘I am delighted to be joining Virgin Atlantic Cargo and am committed to building on the fantastic momentum the team has accomplished, as we continue to grow and achieve future success.

“With a post-Covid norm now established, I’m looking forward to using my skills and experience to assist the business in ensuring Virgin Atlantic Cargo is at the forefront of this new market, whilst we continue to put our customers and people first, showing our presence and character, and driving innovation by breaking the norms.”
