Iberia improves connectivity to Latin America with new winter flight schedule
Spanish flag carrier, Iberia, has announced its long-haul flight schedule for the 2025-2026 winter season, increasing connectivity to Latin America with more than 335 weekly flights to the region and 2.4 million seats for sale.
The new routes have reinforced the carrier’s position in the region, with the largest offering in the market once again this year.
Iberia will increase its flight frequency to Santiago, Chile to 12 weekly flights and over 176,000 seats, 20% more than 2024.
Lima, Peru will grow its service from 13 to 14 weekly flights, with two daily flights facilitating travel between the countries for approximately 1,360 people.
In the Dominican Republic, the Santo Domingo route will increase to have up to 13 weekly flights during some months this winter, with seats totalling around 142,000 throughout the season.
The rest of Iberia’s operations in Latin America will remain the same on the new schedule, including Bogota, Colombia, Buenos Aire, Argentina, and Mexico City, which will continue to have three daily flights, 21 weekly frequencies.
In Brazil, Sao Paulo will have 14 weekly operations, two daily in each direction, while Rio de Janeiro will have up to five. Quito, Peru, will have seven frequencies, with one daily flight, as will San Jose, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, and Montevideo, Uruguay.
Caracas, Venezuela will have weekly flights, while in Central America San Salvador and Guatemala have four, and Guayaquil, Ecuador, Panama, and Havana, Cuba have three.
María Jesús López Solás, Iberia’s commercial, network development, alliances and customers director, said of the new schedule: “Our goal is not only to continue consolidating our position as the leading airline between Europe and Latin America, but also to offer a stable and consistent flight schedule that strengthens our customers’ trust. For the upcoming winter season, we have planned capacity increases which we intend to consolidate to offer greater travel opportunities to those who choose to fly with us.”
