Calcutta headquartered start-up Alhind Air is moving closer towards an Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) as it has sdecured a no-objection certificate from the Indian Director General of Civil Aviation.

A statement from the parent company, tour operator Alhind Group says that the airline plans to begin operations by the end of the year. It also says that the airline will use three ATR 72 aircraft.

The airline will be based out of Kochi International and will initially fly to destinations around the subcontinent.
