UK leisure carrier Jet2 has been named winner of the Package Holiday/Leisure Airline category at the AirlineRatings.com 2025 Sustainability Awards, recognised for its efforts to cut emissions and extend sustainability initiatives across flights, ground operations and resorts.
The airline’s strategy includes fleet renewal with 155 Airbus A321neos, use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) at several airports, electrification of ground service equipment, and investment in solar-powered facilities.
Jet2 has also launched a Certified Sustainable Hotels collection, now featuring more than 1,200 properties.
The company aims to achieve net zero by 2050, with an interim goal of reducing carbon emissions per passenger kilometre by 35% by 2035.
Chief executive Steve Heapy said the award “reflects the investment and hard work that has gone into addressing our impact since we launched our first sustainability strategy in 2021”.
