Kale introduces first air cargo community system to Latin America
Kale Info Solutions (Kale) has partnered with El Dorado International Airport (BOG) in Bogota, Colombia to help develop the first digital air cargo community system (ACS) in Latin America, in an effort to expand its global footprint.
As one the largest capacity airports in Latin America and one of the 20 most connected airports worldwide, it is a strategic location for Kale to tap into the Latin American market.
“The implementation of the Bogota ACS marks a significant stride towards achieving our global vision of a seamlessly connected logistics industry. It underscores our commitment to enhancing efficiency and collaboration across borders,” said Amar Moore, president of Kale.
The new ACS system will enable real-time tracking and monitoring of cargo shipments, as well as conduct automatic compliance checks to ensure the industry standards and regulations are met.
Despite the fact that the airport facilitates roughly 0.76 million metric tons of cargo movement in the region, it has operated on an analogue system for decades. Kale states it has worked with the airport to maximise its cargo capacity as it goes through the process of implementing the new system.
Fabio Marques de silva, chief operating officer of El Dorado International Airport, said: “We are excited to pioneer this digital infrastructure at our airport, we believe the ACS will deliver the efficiency, sustainability, resiliency and visibility benefits to the cargo community, as we aim to build our systems with cutting-edge technology.”
