Record-breaking MRO Middle East and AIME trade shows reflect growth in region

The organisers of this year’s MRO Middle East and Aircraft Interiors Middle East (AIME) claim the co-located trade shows attracted a record breaking 8,000 delegates this week.

The event, held in the World Trade Centre exhibition complex in Dubai, was the largest in its history with visitors from 95 countries including 250 exhibitors and 120 airlines.

The annual events reflected the increasing importance of the Middle East as a growth area for aviation, particularly in the United Arab Emirates and with Saudi Arabia’s 2030 vision placing an onus on growing inbound tourism.

Deals announced at the two-day show included flyadeal signing a long-term agreement with Safran Nacelles for the comprehensive support of its A320neo fleet.

As well as showcasing plans for a new state-of-the-art MRO hub at Jedda, Saudia Technic announced a service centre agreement with Airbus Helicopters.

The European aircraft OEM and Beond also announced a new collaboration powered by Airbus’ Skywise Health Monitoring platform.

Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub signed an agreement with ATS Technic to open its new facility in Dubai South, and Bossard Aerospace announced the renewal of its long-standing support agreement with Joramco.

MRO Middle East and AIME 2025 will take place on February 10-11.
