Aviation technology specialist SITA has announced the appointment of two regional heads in key markets.

Shawn Gregor has taken the role of president of the Americas while Selim Bouri is the firm’s new president of the Middle East and Africa region.

SITA said the pair bring extensive management experience in the travel and transport, telecommunications, and information technology sectors to the company.

Gregor joins SITA having most recently worked for IBM as vice president and industry leader for travel and transportation.

He will be responsible for leading SITA’s operations and driving strategic initiatives across the Americas.

Gregor said: “I am excited and ready to join SITA, a company renowned for its innovative spirit and collaborative approach within the air transport industry.

“Our vision to re-invent travel and transport aligns perfectly with my personal interests and expertise.

“I am looking forward to expanding our technology and industry connections to deliver solutions that will enhance the travel experience for customers across the Americas.”

Bouri was described as a “seasoned leader in aviation, secure communications, and technology”.

He has held several high-profile roles in the global aerospace, telecommunications, and security sector, including heading up the critical comms and security business at Airbus for the Middle East/Africa and APAC regions.
