UAE cargo airline, SolitAir, has announced a new partnership with AIR SUPPORT A/S, choosing its PPS Flight Planning and OpsControl aircraft tracking solutions to power its flight operations.

By integrating PPS Flight Planning and OpsControl, the carrier will be able to leverage industry-leading technology to improve its operational efficiency, fuel optimisation, and precise aircraft tracking.

PPS-X, the 10th generation of AIR SUPPORT A/S’s flight planning system, was recently launched and will bring further reliability, fuel calculation accuracy, and optimised flight routing to SolitAir, enabling better logistics and cost-effective operations.

SolitAir is the only dedicated cargo airline in the UAE that operates express daily schedules services between Dubai and high-yield trade routes across the Global South.

It operates a growing fleet of modern narrowbody Boeing 737-800 aircraft from its hub at Maktoum International Airport (DWC) and is set to add several new aircraft later this year in line with its expansion plans into India, Africa, Central Asia, and other Middle Eastern hubs.

Stephen Young, vice president of AIR SUPPORT A/S, said of the agreement: “Our cutting-edge solutions will not only support SolitAir in achieving outstanding operational performance and cost savings but also enhance the workflow for their dispatchers. By deploying complex integrated OCC environments tailored to SolitAir’s needs, we are making their operations smoother and more efficient than ever.”

Hamdi Osman, founder and chief executive of SolitAir, added: “This collaboration is a significant step towards enhancing the efficiency, reliability and scalability of our services as we continue to expand our fleet and global network. With their innovative technology, we are confident that SolitAir will be able to provide even more efficient and cost-effective air cargo solutions to our customers, ensuring seamless operations and superior performance across our key markets in the Global South.”
