Wizz Air Abu Dhabi is to commence flights to Tel Aviv on 18 April following the announcement that Israel has been added to the UAE capital’s ‘green list‘, meaning travellers will no longer need to quarantine upon arrival in Abu Dhabi.
Tickets are already on sale on wizzair.com and the airline’s mobile app, which is also available in Arabic, with fares starting from AED 99 ($27). The flights from Abu Dhabi to Tel Aviv will operate three times a week in April, increasing to daily flights in May.
Commenting on the new route, the MD of Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, Kees Van Schaick, said: “In light of the recently eased restrictions, I’m delighted to announce the date of the first Wizz flight from Abu Dhabi to Tel Aviv later this month. The connection between the two cities is a historic moment – the link between the UAE and Israel will further contribute to the tourism sector and help to diversify the local economy, while bringing new low-fare business and leisure opportunities for travellers.”
Tel Aviv is Israel’s cultural and commercial capital city featuring golden beaches and a lively cosmopolitan atmosphere. It is a perfect destination for those who wish to discover culture, explore new places, unlock history and enjoy Israel’s delectable cuisine.
For an extra layer of protection during these uncertain times, customers can purchase the additional Wizz Flex service with their flight tickets, which allows them to alter their booking with ultimate flexibility. By doing so, passengers can cancel their flight up to three hours before departure without any fee and get 100 per cent of the original fare immediately reimbursed in airline credit, as well as change dates and even routes an unlimited number of times.
In mid-March, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi announced the launch of its latest routes to Almaty and Nur Sultan in Kazakhstan, starting in mid-May. With the launch of Almaty and Nur Sultan, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi adds a further two routes to the 13 already on sale.
