Some, such as CFO Ronnie Matherson, have already found work with other airlines. Rival operator Loganair’s CEO Luke Farajalla has stated that he would be looking to hire ex-Blue Islands staff in order to take over some of the routes previously operated by the stricken airline.
However, it has been a tough few weeks for everyone involved with UK regional airlines. On November 7th, Humberside-based Eastern Airways filed for administration with the loss of nearly 300 jobs.
