OWG has successfully completed its inaugural revenue flight.

The Canadian start-up airline operated a 737-400 from Toronto Pearson International Airport to Santa Clara Abel Santamaría Airport in Cuba on 18 December.

OWG – which stands for Off We Go – is a subsidiary of Nolinor Aviation and has entered the tourist flight market.

Nolinor has worked on creating the airline since 2018, investing more than C$1 million in a think tank to “reinvent the way things are done in this industry”. The Nolinor team analysed “the best airlines in the world to establish the values and mission behind the new OWG brand”.

At the airline’s official launch in July 2020, OWG president Marco Prud’homme stated: “The flight portion of your trip should be an integral part of your vacation.

“Traditional airlines have chosen to cut the quality of their services year after year with no regard for the passenger experience.

“Our goal is to win the hearts of Quebecers with a new airline whose mission is to get travellers excited again.”
