Edinburgh Airport has been closed this morning (Dec 5) due to an ‘IT issue with our Air Traffic Control provider’. The provider in question has been reported to be Air Navigation Solutions (ANSL)
The problem manifested itself at around 09.30 and the airport said on it’s X feed that it was a ‘localised’ issue, suggesting that it isn’t related to issues with web hosting provider Cloudflare which has also been experiencing issues this morning, restricting access to sites like Zoom and LinkedIn.

NATS has offered its support to Edinburgh Airport to manage the disruption, saying it would “work closely with the airlines impacted and support as best we can”.
The airport says that the issue has now been resolved and flights are starting to resume.
