Vietravel Airlines enters into long-term partnership with BAA Training Vietnam

BAA Training Vietnam and Vietravel Airlines have entered into a long-term business partnership.

Part of the Avia Solutions Group, BAA Training Vietnam is an aviation training centre in Ho Chi Minh City. Vietravel Airlines is a travel airline owned by Vietravel Holdings.

The pair signed a Memorandum of Understanding for a five-year comprehensive cooperation and Type Rating service agreement. The agreement outlines the provision of flight crew training and simulator leasing.

“BAA Training Vietnam and Vietravel Airlines have reached a new level of partnership and [are] looking forward to fruitful long-term cooperation,” said BAA Training Vietnam’s CEO Vytautas Jankauskas. “Our companies share the same values regarding aviation training: both are advocates of high-quality, comprehensive training complying with the regulatory requirements, where professionalism and aviation safety practices are fundamental. Our tight cooperation with Vietravel will allow us to combine our efforts and prepare the necessary number of highly qualified pilots with the right skill set to meet the needs of the growing airline.”

Vietravel Airlines’ CEO Vu Duc Bien commented: “The signed MoU today with BAA Training Vietnam is a long-term vision that the airline has set in choosing a training partner to bring significant value for the development of our human resources. This collaboration is also an effort by the airline to carry out its purpose of connecting and transmitting unique experiences to passengers in the most thoughtful, caring, and ideal ways.”

Based on the signed MoU and the service agreement, BAA Training Vietnam will provide a range of aviation training services for Vietravel Airlines. These include MPL, Type Rating, simulator leasing, cabin crew and dispatcher training from the basic, recurrent, upgrade, refresh and others according to the airline’s needs.

The first groups of MPL and Type Rating students will include 20 students each annually starting from 2022. The number of students will increase proportionally with aircraft fleet growth at Vietravel Airlines.
