European low-cost carrier Vueling has announced the launch of two new daily direct flights from London Heathrow to Bilbao and Santiago de Compostela, Spain.

Starting from March 30, the two new routes are in addition to the IAG group airline’s existing 26 weekly flights from London Gatwick to both these destinations combined.

With these new additions, Vueling claims it is reinforcing its position as a key airline connecting the UK with Spain, increasing the number of seats it is offering for the upcoming summer season by 16%.

Vueling’s chief network and strategy officer, Jordi La Pla, said: “At Vueling, we know Brits love a getaway to Spain, so we’re excited to give them even more options to travel to two of Spain’s most exciting cities – Bilbao and Santiago de Compostela.

“These additions not only reinforce our commitment to offering more affordable and convenient travel options, but also highlight our dedication to enhancing connectivity between the UK and Spain.”
