Leeds Bradford Airport and TUI mark Dubrovnik inaugural summer flight

The UK’s Leeds Bradford Airport has added a new summer connection to the popular Croatian tourist hotspot of Dubrovnik after TUI operated its inaugural flight.

The first Dubrovnik flight of the year departed from LBA on May 4 and there will now be a regular weekly TUI flight to Croatia from LBA.

Nicola McMullen, aviation director at Leeds Bradford Airport, said: “We’re thrilled to launch Dubrovnik and offer more holiday destinations than ever before at LBA.

“These routes are proven to be popular amongst customers for good reason and we’re pleased that we’re able to meet demand from across the region with increased capacity. We’re looking forward to a great summer schedule for 2023.”

Dubrovnik has become popular with Game of Thrones fans who can take its themed city tours of locations where the popular TV series is filmed.

In addition to Dubrovnik, TUI will be increasing capacity at LBA to two popular Turkish destinations, Antalya and Dalaman.

Both routes are set for more flights from the May 24, with Antalya (AYT) and Dalaman (DLM) now operating twice weekly.

The additional routes have seen LBA hit a record-breaking 80 destinations in its 2023/2024 schedule.
