Aerobatic flight operator ActionFlight has partnered with Ras Al Khaimah Airport to become the first General Civil Aviation Authority(GCAA) approved commercial aerobatic flight operator in the UAE, marking a significant milestone for aviation enthusiasts in the United Arab Emirates and beyond.
With the introduction of aerobatic flights at RAK Airport, the company aims to bring the excitement and adrenaline rush of aerobatics to local and international thrill-seekers.
ActionFlight/Vertical UPRT is also the first commercial air operator to offer Pilot Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT) in the UAE, which ties in with a local regulation that mandates that professional pilots undergo advanced theoretical and ‘on aircraft’ flight training, equipping pilots with the essential skills to identify and mitigate in-flight dangers and ensuring they possess the necessary competencies for effective recovery from airplane upsets.
Ralf Schustereder, Chief Executive Officer of Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, expressed his enthusiasm, stating: “We are pleased to welcome ActionFlight at RAK International Airport. ActionFlight’s commitment as a leading provider of aviation adventure tourism in the region perfectly aligns with our vision of showcasing RAK as a city of limitless potential. Together, we aim to develop this dynamic segment as part of a business portfolio, offering a glimpse into the thrilling experiences RAK has to offer
Expressing gratitude for the opportunity to operate in Ras Al Khaimah with the steadfast support of RAKDCA and Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA), Wayne Jack, CEO and founder of ActionFlight, stated: “We are extremely grateful for the opportunity to be conducting our business in Ras Al Khaimah, with the wonderful support of RAKDCA, RAKTDA and RAK Airport with us all the way.
