Vueling, part of IAG, was awarded Best Airline at the Routes Awards ceremony in Istanbul this week.
Many of the global route development community were in attendance for the 28th edition of the conference, once again providing a platform for discussions that will shape the future of the industry.
The award recognises the carriers that have provided significant support to airports and destinations in generating sustainable economic growth for regions. It highlights Vueling’s hard work and commitment to develop a more sustainable future for the carrier and its partners, with a key focus on long-term collaborations and profitable routes. As it stands, more than 85% of Vueling’s new routes exceed the critical three-year mark when a route is generally considered to be mature.
Jordi Pla, Director of Network Strategy and Long-Term Planning, said:
“We are delighted to be recognised by Routes World Conference as the Best Airline for 2023. This award comes as a result of a huge collective effort within the Vueling team. This is a testament to our commitment to enhancing how the industry approaches partnerships and long-term collaborations”.
