Engine MRO provider BP Aero has completed its first lease return inspection, preservation, and QEC (Quick Engine Change) kit service for the Leap-1A and 1B engines.

The achievement represents the first Leap workscopes performed by BP Aero as part of ITP Aero Group.

A flagship product of CFM International, the Leap-1B engine powers the Boeing 737 MAX series and is recognised for its cutting-edge technology and superior performance.

BP Aero’s inspection, preservation, and QEC kit services ensure the engine’s optimal condition, facilitating seamless transitions for lessors and operators.

BP Aero says it has also invested in OEM training on the reverse bleed system workscope for the Leap-1A engine, which it says positions BP Aero as a premier service provider equipped to effectively support the upcoming campaign.
