MRO Management

Dominik Wiener-Silva appointed managing director of Epcor

Dominik Wiener-Silva has moved from his role as AFI KLM E&M VP sales Asia Pacific to a new position as managing director of subsidiary company Epcor.

Wiener-Silva (pictured right) has worked as AFI KLM E&M’s VP sales Asia Pacific for five years.

He will take over from Martijn de Vries, who will be appointed VP Engine Services in Amsterdam.

AFI KLM E&M noted that under de Vries’ leadership, APU repair company Epcor had developed its service offering to include new generation 787, A330neo and A220 aircraft. The company has also ramped up the use of predictive maintenance tool ‘PROGNOS’ for APU, and implemented digital solutions such as the ‘Virtual Table Inspection’ and a new customer portal.

KLM E&M’s executive vice president Ton Dortmans commented: “Over the past five years, Dominik spearheaded AFI KLM E&M’s strategy of growth in the Asia Pacific region. Leading a strong commercial team, he has achieved many commercial successes, always driven by the partnership mindset that is so fundamental in our MRO business and characteristic of our brand.

“Epcor and its customers can rely on Dominik’s considerable knowledge of the E&M business and his 20 years of experience in the MRO industry.”

Wiener-Silva said: “I am excited to join the Epcor family at this challenging time and to continue the strategic development of the company with a strong focus on operational efficiency and customer support.”
