Aerospace group FACC has obtained EN 9110 certification as the Austrian company moves strategically into the MRO of aircraft components and systems.
FACC said the certification is testament to the “high quality and expertise that FACC guarantees its customers in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft components and systems”.
Company CEO Robert Machtlinger commented: “The technology behind aircraft is highly complex. For this reason, the demands placed on companies to be allowed to perform these MRO services are accordingly strict.
“With the EN 9110 approval, FACC has been granted the highest international MRO certificate of competence. With this seal of quality we can now provide maintenance and repair for components and systems from all manufacturers.”
FACC’s vice president quality Hubert Kern said the company was aiming to increase its “competitiveness in the MRO sector and make optimal use of the opportunities available on the rapidly growing global market.”
