FAI Technik has completed a full refurbishment of a pre-owned Bombardier Challenger 604 on behalf of a corporate client.

The aircraft (MSN 5412) was handed over to its new Germany-based owner earlier this month, and will be operated under NCC regulations by FAI Technik’s parent company, FAI rent-a-jet.

The €1 million project represented FAI’s first extensive refurbishment on the Challenger series. It took approximately 2,500 man hours to complete and features VIP seating for 12 passengers, including high gloss carbon fibre veneer surfaces, soft furnishings, metal platings and marble countertops and stone floors in the galley and restroom.

The luxury interior is complemented by Gogo’s Aviator 300 with intermediate gain antenna, Wi-Fi internet and Collins’ Airshow 500 installation. Exterior designer paint work was undertaken by Satys in Norwich, UK, and features a VIP finish in silver grey metallic.

“FAI Technik has successfully completed another highly demanding, first-class interior refurbishment project, following the completion of our Global Express ‘Project Pearl’ in 2020,” said FAI’s group chairman Siegfried Axtmann. “This latest project further reinforces FAI Technik’s competency in turnkey refurbishments at flat rate pricing.”
