GKN Aerospace Engines Repair Solutions has announced it has reached a series of significant milestones as part of the ongoing expansion of its global repair network.
To support future growth, Leap-1A and Leap-1B Fan Blade repairs have been added to the firm’s capabilities list, and over 30 new customers have been added to the portfolio in the first half of 2024.
GKN Aerospace says that significant performance improvements have been achieved, including the elimination of backlog and a reduction in turnaround times by over 50%.
The firm has also achieved a milestone at its newest facility in Johor, Malaysia, which delivered its 10,000th part, which GKN Aerospace says underscores the dedication and hard work of its team in ensuring top-quality repairs and customer satisfaction.
Furthermore, the company has announced it expects to open its new state-of-the-art facility in San Diego, California, at the end of 2024. The new facility will enhance the firm’s capacity to serve the MRO market with cutting-edge technology and expertise.
