GA Telesis adds radome testing facility

GA Telesis’ MRO Services Group has introduced a transmissivity test cell for repairing and overhauling aircraft radomes.

Radome maintenance will be performed at the FAA- and EASA-approved composite and aerostructures repair facility near Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport, which specialises in the overhaul and repair of composites and large metallic structures.

GA Telesis said its new test cell was capable of testing a wide range of OEM platforms accommodating all Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Cessna, Embraer, and Gulfstream aircraft models.

“This new capability is critical in testing repaired and overhauled radomes before returning them to service, setting GA Telesis apart in the aftermarket segment of composites,” said the company’s president, MRO Services Pastor Lopez.

“Our engineering team formulated a design plan and executed it well. This is what truly makes GA Telesis a great partner with our airline customers.”
