Honeywell has extended the duration and scope of its component repair agreement with Sabena technics on the ATR 42 and 72.

Sabena technics will now be the sole licensee on these platforms until the end of 2030.

The new agreement adds purchasing and inventory to the existing repair and overhaul services Sabena technics offers. The MRO provider will handle a large amount of stock in order to “sustain its capabilities on a long-term basis”.

In the coming months, additional internal repair and overhaul capabilities will increasingly be added to Sabena technics’ workload with a goal to reach full scope on all Honeywell’s products fitted on the ATR 42 and 72. Sabena technics will also provide standard exchange unit to Honeywell and its customers.

As a licensed Honeywell service centre, Sabena technics has already been providing repair and upgrades for many Honeywell components on both the ATR 42 and 72 twin-engine turboprops from its locations in Europe and Asia.

Sabena technics’ capabilities include components such as the ED800, AHRU, ADC and Tic Valve. It is also the only OEM-approved repair station for upgrade solutions for the ATR 42 and 72 air cycle machines.

“We are proud to have reached this new milestone in our relationship with Honeywell. It confirms their trust in the efficiency and reliability of our services,” said Sabena technics’ COO Philippe Delisle.

“We are dedicated to providing the best solutions for Honeywell’s customers by being a one-stop shop for ATR operators, and bringing them added-value customised solutions at the highest standard of quality and at the most accurate costs.”
