UK aviation supply chain solutions specialist, Farsound, have announced their partnership renewal with long-term customer Iberia, the Spanish flag-carrier airline.

Lee Kelsey, chief operating officer of Farsound, said: “We are delighted to be renewing our contract with Iberia once more.

“Our working relationship goes back many years now, and we are proud to be entrusted with providing this prestigious flag-carrier airline with our supply chain solutions.”

Farsound provides advanced kitting solutions directly to Iberia’s assembly lines, ensuring all required parts are sent to a single point of use.

The service is designed to fit seamlessly with Iberia’s own supply chain and workflow.

Kelsey added: “Furthermore, Europe is a very important market for us and we are working hard to strengthen our presence there and increase our MRO and aviation market share.”

Farsound recently strengthened its presence in Spain by opening a brand-new bespoke facility in the town of San Fernando de Henares, Madrid.

The facility was built for the purpose of quickly servicing Iberia’s fleet, as well as Farsound’s other key airline customers across Europe.

Iberia will benefit from the added innovations inside Farsound’s facility, including a new bespoke multi capacity kitting cabinet, designed and manufactured specifically to transport parts around the facility for improved operations and customer service.

Iberia is the largest Spanish airline and the leader between Latin American and Europe.

From its base in Madrid Barajas airport, the Spanish airline operates an extensive route network. In addition to its passenger air transport services, it is also involved in aircraft maintenance, airport handling services and cargo.
