Aircraft and engine aftermarket solutions provider, AerFin, has completed the sale of a second CFM56-5B engine from the A320ceo family to Japanese investor Keiyo Gas Energy Solution Co., Ltd. (KGES), marking further progress in the company’s expansion into Japan’s aviation investment market.

The transaction was advised by BeYoke Capital, a specialist in aircraft structured finance, and forms part of a commercial partnership rather than a straightforward lease deal. Under a lease-to-part-out with consignment structure, AerFin and KGES will share in the upside potential of the asset.

This latest sale follows AerFin’s first transaction into Japan last year, signalling growing trust and cooperation with the country’s aviation investment community.

Simon Goodson, AerFin’s chief executive, said: “Completing a second engine sale into Japan is a clear sign of the trust and momentum we’re building in this critically important market. It underlines both the quality of our assets and the strength of the relationships we’re developing with Japanese investors. We’re grateful to BeYoke for their continued support and expertise in helping us grow in this market.

“This milestone aligns with our broader commitment to the Asia Pacific region, following the opening of our Singapore office and the growth of our multi-lingual team who are focused on deepening partnerships across the region.”

Rion Sato, chief executive of BeYoke Capital, added: “We’re delighted to have advised KGES and AerFin on this transaction. It’s encouraging to see the continued confidence of Japanese investors in aviation assets, and we’re eager to help cultivate further opportunities in this space for the broader Japanese investment community.”
