Aircraft components and spare parts provider aviationscouts have announced its acquisition by Aerotec Europe Holding GmbH (AES).

On June 11, aviationscouts officially became part of the AES group, a subsidiary of Borromin Capital Fonds IV, and as part of the transaction, also acquired 100% of the shares in B2L GmbH & Co. KG, specialists in upcycling used aircraft parts and accessories.

Thomas Bulirsch, founder and chief executive of aviationscouts, will continue to lead the company in shaping its growth strategy.

Bulirsch said: “This acquisition is a significant step for aviationscouts. Integration into the Aerotec/AES group allows us to expand our service portfolio and strengthen our market position.”

Aerotec Europe Holding GmbH, which includes its subsidiary Airplane Equipment & Services A.E.S. GmbH, was acquired by Borromin Capital Fonds IV in September 2022.

Borromin aims to expand the company through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions.

Martin Franke, partner at Borromin, said: “The acquisition of aviationscouts is an ideal addition to our portfolio and particularly strengthens our activities in aircraft cabin refurbishment.

“Through this acquisition, we are solidifying our market position as a significant player in the circular economy for used aircraft components and spare parts.”

Frank Kusserow, chief executive of the AES group, said: “aviationscouts has developed into a leading company in the industry over the past years. The customer- and service-oriented approach has sustainably shaped the company.

“We look forward to collaborating and offering our customers tailored services and products together.”
