AFI KLM E&M and Air Canada agree ‘groundbreaking’ component support for 787s
Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) and Air Canada have signed a 10-year contract for component support of Air Canada’s growing Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet.
This landmark agreement, the first major component support deal between the two companies, establishes a new pool stock in Toronto, ensuring optimal support for Air Canada’s expanding operations.
Starting with a fleet of 39 aircraft on May 01, 2024, Air Canada plans to expand its fleet to 58 Dreamliners by 2029.
The agreement also includes an option for 12 additional aircraft, reinforcing Air Canada’s commitment to fleet modernisation and expansion.
With a partnership spanning over 15 years – covering key programmes such as the GE90, CFM56, APS5000, and airframe events – this latest deal strengthens the foundation of trust and collaboration between the two companies.
