Andrew Newell named general manager at Bii.aero

Aircraft parts and services company Bii.aero has appointed Andrew Newell as general manager.

Newell has served as sales director at the company for two years and will “bring his highly specialised expertise of consignment stock management and the commercial aircraft interiors sector” to the role, Bii.aero said.

He will be tasked with expanding the company’s size and capabilities, starting with reconfiguring all its warehouses.

“We are investing significantly in our stock levels to accommodate the rising demand of Bii’s component support services. All the new inventory coming in will add a constant feed of activity into the business for the next few years, and spearhead Bii’s growth trajectory,” he said. “To improve efficiency, we are redesigning our customer service processes to handle the increasing demand of parts enquiries more smoothly.”

Bii.aero’s CEO Francis Cradock commented: “As Andrew takes on this challenging role at Bii, we welcome his depth of previous experience as managing director of Eagle Air Trading, and vice president of Leki Aviation UK for 26 years before that. His experience will greatly benefit Bii as we continue to add structure and streamline operations.

“With growing sales from airlines in the Middle East and America, we’re looking to expand Bii’s focus into Asia, Africa and South America in the next few years. Andrew’s knowledge and experience of these global markets will support our growth initiatives and mentor our young and enthusiastic team, especially as we increase our capabilities and our resources to support a rising demand for our flexible component stock support options as well as our repair management programmes.”
