APOC Aviation reshapes leadership structure for next growth phase
Aircraft, engine and landing gear trading, leasing and part-out specialist, APOC Aviation, has announced a new senior management team as it prepares for a period of accelerated growth.
Gavin Simmonds will continue as chief executive while Robert Van Oeveren, Craig Skilton and Karolis Jurkevičius have all been promoted into expanded senior management roles.
Van Oeveren has been appointed financial director and joins the leadership team with responsibility for ensuring the company’s infrastructure, systems and resources are prepared for future growth.
Skilton takes on the role of chief commercial officer, overseeing APOC Aviation’s commercial profit centres, business development activities and marketing strategy, while helping to shape the company’s commercial direction.
Jurkevičius joins the senior management team as senior vice president of landing gear and major assets. He will continue to lead APOC Aviation’s landing gear division and its office in Vilnius, Lithuania, while taking responsibility for major asset transactions and acquisition opportunities.
Simmonds said: “The organisation has been through a fast-paced change programme over the past 10 months. APOC is committed to investing in its staff, infrastructure and development as much as it is committed to investing in assets and inventory. The new senior management team will be taking APOC forward at great pace, I’m extremely proud that APOC’s underlying ethos of promoting and growing its people from within has manifested itself in the new leadership team appointments.”
Alongside the leadership changes, APOC Aviation announced several additional senior appointments. These include Paul Shanley, who will be based in Dublin and support asset acquisition activities and corporate development, marking the company’s first presence in Ireland.
The company also expanded the responsibilities of Tim Zurawski, who will lead strategy, data and technology initiatives, including digital transformation and AI adoption, while Ian Foster will take on a broader role overseeing warehouse, logistics, MRO, quality and technical functions.
Simmonds added: “The changes outlined represent the largest step forwards in APOC’s recent history. They empower and enable a greater amount of authority and accountability for the considered direction and running of the business. This transition will enable us to develop, deploy, and secure strategic opportunities ensuring we continue to surpass the competition and grow the Company. We can only succeed with every member of the team sharing and contributing towards the journey.”
