Avianor has appointed Mario Lafrance as its new vice president and general manager, following the planned retirement of long-serving industry leader Hugo Brouillard.
Avianor confirmed the leadership transition as part of its long-term growth strategy.
Lafrance takes over from Hugo Brouillard, chief operating officer and president of affiliated companies, who announced his retirement after more than 35 years in the aerospace industry.
Brouillard will remain with Avianor until December 2025 to ensure a smooth handover.
Avianor, an affiliate of DRAKKAR, specialises in commercial and defence aircraft MRO and interior solutions.
Benoit Hudon, president and chief executive of DRAKKAR, said: “We were seeking a leader with deep technical expertise, commitment to excellence, a passion for airline maintenance, and a strong customer focus.
“Mario embodies all of these qualities and a dedication to teamwork. His proven leadership and extensive experience make him the natural choice to guide Avianor into its next phase of growth.”
